Iris

Iris

The Natural Intuitive

Your Goddess Qualities

Iris is a messenger.  She has a benevolent nature, and yet is not afraid to speak the truth, no matter how unpleasant it is to those who hear it.

Your Personality at Its Best

As an Iris, you are an idealistic humanitarian who loves helping others.  You enjoy cultural traditions, history, and philosophy.  You have a creative imagination.  You often intuit what is not immediately apparent to another.  When you trust your feelings, you are a natural psychic, and your intuition will never let you down.  You are emotionally independent and usually appear secure and unruffled, no matter what is going on around you.  Because you have the ability to keep the peace, you make an excellent arbitrator or mediator.

Early Childhood Conditioning

You have an escapist tendency, which started at an early age when one or both of your parents did not understand your sensitivities. As a result, you may become irritated at people who ignore your feelings or fail to reward you for your contributions — often childlike in your reactions.

How Your Personality May Undermine Your Health

You are vulnerable to inherent weaknesses in your pituitary-adrenal-ovarian reflex circuitry. Under stress you can suffer from “combat fatigue” — a weakening of the autoimmune system. When low in energy, you tend to procrastinate and defend your actions with excuses and imaginary reasons for not becoming involved. At these times, your inner conflict over what you want  to do and what you feel capable of doing can make you susceptible to physical ills, such as hypertension, asthma, allergies, viruses, colds, and even lung and heart problems.

Your sensitivities can affect your health adversely because you often absorb the vibrations of others, particularly their stresses. You also hide your feelings and may become resentful when people fail to see you as you truly are or know how sensitive you are. By hiding these frustrations and resentfulness behind a mask, you allow pressure to build until you either “blow” or escape into your own world.

Meeting Your Creative Wellness Challenge

To be the humanitarian that you are by nature, and to help others, you need to first help yourself. Nurturing yourself and understanding your emotions will help you mature and develop your natural psychic gifts. To be a good intuitive and serve the needs of others, you must have internal clarity, as well as strength of mind and body. To make the most of your Iris personality, you can:

  • find creative ways to express your emotions
  • care for your body with massages, a facial, or a trip to the beauty parlor
  • take time for things that satisfy and fulfill you, such as reading good books or visiting museums and other places of history
  • take on a humanitarian cause or participate in a community service organization
  • get involved in non-competitive hobbies and sports, like hiking/walking and gardening

Liberate yourself, and be free to pursue the mysteries of life and help the world.

Iris’ Affirmation

I acknowledge that in my past
I have allowed my repressed emotions
to traumatize me and effect my health.
Therefore I choose now
to alter these past patterns
by cultivating my sensitivities,
and changing my present lifestyle.
In reaffirming my desire,
I continually bring myself closer
to personal realization of myself
— body, mind, and spirit as one.
